Recent developments in heat storage show that it is possible to store enough heat in the summer for use in the winter. The source of heat is usually the sun, but wind energy can also be converted into heat using simple means. I set up a website called windheatingsystem to promote this idea. I am currently doing some experiments and would like to do more open source research and development. Ther reason to do it this way is because the usual method of cclosed development and subsequent monetization leads to a pricing that protects the existing market.
Wind to heat and new heat storage with vacuum insulation are practically gamechangers. The problem is that they reduce the need for gas, and (due to the gas lobby) heat has or will have a fixed maximum price preventing slightly more expensive products to enter the market. Wind to heat can be very inexpensive. Another reason to keep it that way.
