Our Carbon Based Robo(eco?)nomy

In the Robo(eco)nomy people don’t need to do much work because machines make most things they need based on renewables. We are already experiencing something similar, but it is still based on carbon fuels and our Keynsian economists still tell us full employment is good, necessary and it is bad to be out of work. Unemployment is a logical consequence of banks supplying carbon credit to large manufactureres of our consumer goods, this is what they like, not productive consumers. Even the foxconn factory that makes the ipods is going to introduce robots. So Robo(eco)nomics makes it official: Full employment is unnecessary and should not be a goal. But energy should be renewable so we no longer face scarcity and the type of consolidation of production that is motivated by optimal use of carbon fuels.
